What Linksys WiFi 6 router do Community Fibre supply?

[link to this post]

Last month in December Community Fibre finally went live in my building after 20 months of waiting following the wayleave agreement and I saw street works on the day the service went live including a leaflet and email that I received last week saying the service is now live!

I'm still undecided what package to take. But I am thinking to go for the Gigabit package as the router supplied is Linksys WiFi 6. The lower tier packages have a dual-band and tri-band router but they are restricted to 1-2 Ethernet LAN ports.

Having done some research there appears to be 2 types of Linksys WiFi 6 routers. One is MX4200 or AX4200

This has 3 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 1 Gigabit WAN port.

The other is an AX/MX5300 with 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 1 Gigabit WAN port.

Ideally I'll want 4 ports as I have 3 computers at home and 1 Satellite TV Receiver Technomate TM5402 that only has LAN support but doesn't have inbuilt WiFi support. Though it is 12 years old, I might look into upgrading the receiver to a 4K one seeing that I upgraded my TV to a 4K OLED this year.

Alternatively, if I upgrade my receiver to the latest ones, some now have WiFi built in so a router with 3 LAN ports will be more than enough. But if I remain with my old receiver or upgrade it to one without WiFi built in then I'll need an additional LAN port.

I read that Community Fibre supply a AX/MX4200 so it is actually only 3 LAN ports. Is this the only router Community Fibre supply? They appear to be unclear on their website. I also just found out there's also a Dual-Band AX5400 Mesh WiFi 6 Router 1-Pack https://www.linksys.com/gb/dual-band-ax5400-mesh-wif...
This also has 3 Ethernet LAN Ports but is a dual band WiFi 6 router. Again, Community Fibre aren't clear exactly what router (model) they are supplying.
Edit: Upon further research there appears to be a Linksys SPNMX55CF router. https://www.linksys.com/gb/support-article/?articleN...
NOTE: The Linksys SPNMX55CF is for Community Fibre ISP subscribers in the United Kingdom.

This one seems to be based on the Dual-band AX5400 that shows as 3 LAN ports as mentioned above but appears to be named as Linksys SPNMX55CF for Community Fibre. What package is this router supplied with as this is also WiFi 6? crazy

I know I can buy a gigabit network switch, but having a router with 4 ports is more convenient. Currently my BT router has 4 ports and my previous router with TalkTalk also had 4 ports for FTTC.

Many thanks.

Had my new install last week, 920mb. CF supplied a MX4200 v1 with 1 down and 3 up Ethernet ports.

As far as I can tell, AX4200 & MX4200 is the same product. 2 AX4200 are known as MX8400; 3 as MX12600 etc

Most old redundant routers can be used as switches, if connected by Ethernet, the old router can be used, besides as a switch giving additional Ethernet ports, as a WiFi extender.

If you want to create a Linksys WiFi mesh, additional new MX4200s can be bought on eBay for £45 - £50 each. (waiting for mine to be delivered....)

Service has been rock solid! Take note of the referral discounts (Amazon Vouchers)
