G.Network

[link to this post]

Has anybody living in the vicinity of G.Network's build seen them actually deliver new connections in the past year or so? This report shows them adding zero customers in the six months that the report covered (https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2023/02/a-quick-look-at-the-changing-growth-of-uk-full-fibre-altnets.html), and anecdotally I have family who had the street dug up in July 2022, ducting laid, a little toby box installed (all very neat work actually), and then nothing from the company at all - no activity installing fibre, the checker on their website has even rolled back to "register your interest" - though I don't really have much faith in their website being accurate. We have a couple of clients in central London and they were reporting outages that G.Network were taking 5 days to resolve, support phones just ringing off, Twitter searches show whole areas dropping offline. And then there was that FT article last year about them being close to going under, which they had to deny, though they didn't dispute that they have under 10k customers after building to 400k.

Are they going to be able to operate as a going concern, or can we expect to see someone like CityFibre acquire them for access to their fairly extensive duct network? I can't find any positive news about them currently - their Glassdoor reviews are a mess, all the Trustpilot reviews seem like they've been solicited as feedback from a single interaction rather than people providing their opinions on the service.
