I don't know anything about Alncom. I would suggest that you find out what Openreach's FTTP plans are for your area and what alternative broadband services are available.
I signed up for Gigaclear FTTP eleven years ago. Where I live there were no comparable alternatives and there was a group of people who encouraged others to sign up. The service went live 2 years later.
I've checked all of those things. I was looking for any helpful information about Alncom who will only implement a service if we get enough people to sign up.
For the information of anyone else looking at Alncom services I have received the following information from them:
Customers can use their own router. The installation is carried out with one of our routers & tested before allowing the customer to use their own router. We have a selection of routers and one with an ATA can be supplied.
We don’t currently supply our own VoIP service, so customers are free to choose their own. A lot of our customers are using Vonage, but we should have an alternative that we can provide in the coming months.
Alncom service does not yet support IPv6 but it is in plan for roll out later this year. The network will be built using CGNAT to start with. Alncom have a mix of IP pools from various sources, but all are now registered in the UK. The static IP charge is a monthly payment of £5 each month.
We partner Commsworld for our backhaul & transit. They are in all 8 IXP’s in the country.
