This merge is the first sign of consolidation where Zzoomm has been sold to FullFibre.
If you actually look at the https://fullfibre.co/isp-partners/ there's no mention of Zzoomm but all the other 14 different ISPs that are on the network.

This suggests that at the end of your contract you are free to switch to any of the other 14 ISPs on the network. The only thing I find strange is that why your speedtest would show as FullFibre if they are acting as a wholesale network!

I expect more of such mergers like this to happen to the other smaller Altnets who won't survive long term. However, it's interesting to see some of those wholesale ISPs are not much more expensive than what Zzoomm are offering! In fact, some are actually slightly cheaper.

Price factor will be the only concern when companies merge together. But as long as they are fairly similar then there's nothing to worry about.

There are a lot of openreach fanboys out that would love to see all alt nets vanish. It is good that people have a choice, instead of having to go with Out of reach

I don't know how they will do things, ZZoomm is still taking orders and if I put my postcode into the Full fibre site, the computer says no. Maybe Zzoomm will be just another ISP on the network like the others.

I see no reason to change as long as the service keeps working, and the price is okay. I am not really in a contract, my contract ran out last year, i may see what they can offer me this year

Probably their IT systems haven't been updated to merge Zzoomm customers into FullFibre. Most likely it is in a transitional phase. Aside from the FullFibre website, have you checked the individual ISPs like BeFibre, Squirrel, IDNet, etc served by FullFibre to see if it shows as available there?

Of-course it's all great if the prices still remain reasonable after the contract had ended. Some ISPs price hike pretty sharply at the end of the contract. If your service is fine and the contract price hasn't steeped up then that's a relief.

But even if all is good for now, it is still useful to know just in case the takeover happens and the prices go up other ISPs on the network should have reasonable prices that match the packages and prices that Zzoomm offers.

This is always a worry I have with Altnet consolidation. Either prices will remain the same or they may go up depending on who takes over. That's why there is so much variation in prices even amongst Altnets despite being cheaper compared Openreach. Hopefully FullFibre Heroes will maintain cheaper wholesale prices for the foreseeable future.

You’re presuming that the newly merged outfit will automatically decide to offer ‘mini wholesale’ capability in all the network areas it now owns - namely the Zzoomm cabled areas.

Merging operational, management and back office systems is one thing, merging networks is another and offering access to other ISPs is a step further still.

Going “mini-wholesale” may not be as (presumably) profitable as remaining Zzoomm only in those areas. They will look carefully at revenue projections and profitability in the Zzoomm areas before deciding to go down that road.

I checked others on the network including the dreaded Talk Talk, Talk Talk comes up with openreach only and the other says nope,.

just have to wait and see what happens, i may not even be living here in the 12 months and then have to see what is available where I go.
I will stay as I am for as long as I can, I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of having another network installed here.
