Gigaclear - Essex Area 3 congestion

[link to this post]

I thought I'd start a new thread for users within the Essex area 3 catchment, from what I understand is the following villages/areas:

Coggeshall
Kelvedon
Feering
Tiptree
Inworth
Witham
Rivenhall
Messing

The congestion has been acknowledged by Gigaclear on their service support page with an ETA of July 2025 for fixing. However I'm now experiencing speeds now of below 10Mbps download and 300Mbps on the upload.

I pay for the 900/900 package, so seeing a incredible drop off from 1600 to 0000, when the speeds miraculously jump back up to the paid for service.

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on how this has rapidly gone downhill this week considering there were more issues last week across Essex and Northampton causing some rather hot back end services, yet they fixed Northampton and the issue just went ballistic in Essex, it just makes no sense.

It's almost like some rather bandwidth heavy users have been connected, or moved about for load balancing crippling this area.

Me speculating.
Once an ISP has recognised they in a bad situation with no quick remedy, it becomes open season on what sort of measures they may end up taking, could be desperate reconfiguration in the hope of improving things but going wrong instead, could be moving users around, could be traffic shaping, the good news is they have a declared fix date and have recognised the problems, so assuming you not moving away, its a case now of riding through it and hoping there is no delay on the new capacity.
It also could be some capacity has been taken offline for the remedial work which would mean a temporary loss of capacity.
