Cloudscape soGEA

[link to this post]

Had some trouble a while back with packet loss. Since then my line has been changed to SoGEA as I got rid of the phone line in September. I have a Sam knows white box which is showing 186 disconnects in the past month (only 6 days without any)
It doesn’t seem to be impacting the broadband use too much, but then it’s not in constant use. The disconnects are generally a few seconds although some have been 2 minutes. We started having this problem before the telephone line was switched off and I was hoping it would be resolved. Anyone know what might be going on?

Do the router logs show the disconnects in the stats ? I would be surprised if the line were actually dropping sync, as you says “the disconnects are only a few seconds’. VDSL can’t drop, re-establish sync and re authenticate in only a few seconds.

What if you remove the SAM Knows box and run without that for a couple of days ? Just as part of the faulting process.

Do you have any line stats you can post on here ? SNR, sync rates, error rates etc. ?

Have you asked Cloudscape to test the line for you ?

Received a letter just the other day ..
