Following the merger of Jurassic Fibre, Swish Fibre, Giganet, and Allpoints Fibre (APFN) in 2023, retail customers eventually ended up with Cuckoo, and APFN inherited the Swish network. While the former Swish Fibre network continued to operate for existing customers, it was for a long time not possible for new customers to sign up. I think something similar was true in former Giganet areas. This caused much comment and perplexity, see for example here.
Where I live, a former Swish Fibre area, it is now possible for new customers to order via the Cuckoo website. The website doesn't say, but I guess this is over Swish because the connection offered is symmetrical, which means it's either Swish or Trooli, and I don't think Cuckoo do Trooli. I don't know what would happen to anyone who did place an order.
It's also now possible for Cuckoo/APFN customers to switch to Olilo/APFN. I know because I've just done it. Until very recently this needed a cease and re-provide. Didn't go entirely without a hitch, but soon sorted.
