They used to be good at it, in my opinion, and I think that there are some small signs that they are beginning to take some decisions to improve it, although it seems to have taken a dramatic slowdown in Plusnet's subscriber growth for them to appreciate the urgency of the situation, by which time customer support is obviously in a poor way.

The question, in my view, is can the management that got Plusnet in to this position get them out of it, and at present there has to be doubt in my view, because improved customer service has been promised for some months and has yet to be sustained.

I would not recommend Plusnet at present, and indeed migrated my own broadband line from them recently. That's not to say, though, that I wouldn't re-evaluate that, if 6 months or so down the line, circumstances had changed and they had managed to sustain the majority of their promised improvements and returned to a high level of service.

If only PlusNet employed some customer service staff rather than just support monkeys........

You think PlusNet are bad?

Try NTL!!

Trust me, PlusNet are a pure dream by comparison. Hence why I'm not too bothered about them as they're infinitely better than the hell I had to put up with NTL and better than what I've experienced of BT also.

Face it, all ISPs are [censored]. Too many customers signing up in recent years and maybe too much greed to get them to sign up, and they just can't cope. Coupled with a trend in the IT industry at the moment to automate and outsource everything to drive down costs and maximise profits. The British IT industry is pretty much going down the pan at the moment in my opinion.
