VERY few people not having a smooth transition to Tiscali LLU
So no reason for PlusNet to suspend moving people to Tiscali then?
In reply to:
Plusnet only has a few trivial issues anyway
The problem is there are so many of them at any one time.

show up more expensive ISP's *cough* Zen* for the rip off they are.
I have been with Zen and though more expensive you *do* get customer *support*. When I migrated away from them I got my MAC there and then over the 'phone, most ISPs (Plusnet included) make you wait.
It seems to me that Plusnet is currently positioned in a market area that it cannot compete in. They seem to be fixed on the idea that 'We are X months/years/whatever in front of the competition' and it is pushing them to make their products overly complicated.
The traffic shaping is a good example, based on protocol and time of day, plus you are shaped more as you approach the limit. (I could understand *after* the limit was reached but not this). I do not want to have to think about what time it is or what protocol i'm using, like most people I want to browse or download when it suits me, not when my ISP decides I can.
I do hope that they can find their way back to being what they were, we do not need to lose too many ISPs as it is then less choice for us all.
