BT Wholesale page

[link to this post]

Anyone else just have their connection drop and be greeted with the BT Wholesale connection problem page? (screenshot)

My router had reconnected to my PlusNet IP, so I'd not been logged on to a BT login/ip, but there was no connectivity at all to any websites and pings/tracerts failed straight after my router.

Yep. Same here. Xbox360 froze, then it went downhill from there! Having to access this through my phone. Rebooted router etc etc. Nothing on Plusnet's service status page, but then I wasn't expecting anything to be.

A quick glance at their webcams shows that there doesn't seem to be any flurry of manic activity on screen so perhaps the problem is due to your exchange?

and

It could just be sheer coincidence that someone else on here has had the same problem though.

I'm back on now (and was when I posted that message) but was wondering if it'd happened to anyone else - there was a Service Status go up not long before about LLU users being disconnected, so maybe there's a related issue with some of the kit that deals with connections...

The network utilisation graphs page would seem to suggest a bit of a drop:

Hmm, re: graphs; you've got a point, maybe something that they were doing kicked in and caused a fair bit of disruption?

In fairness, AFAIK the switch over from Peak time to Off Peak hasn't kicked in yet...

I'm back online. Has taken me nearly an hour. All sites are now ok and I can connect to Xbox Live. Looking at the Plusnet site, it seems as if nobody has even realised anything happened! Strange

Have a good evening.

Don't be silly. PN have now inserted a chip into all their customers in order to ensure they are all asleep at 11pm and hence the drop. I have never seen more than 120K customers online on that graph. Do PN really have more than 150K active customer? I am not so sure.
