He's complaining about having to wait 15 minutes to get through?
Or he complaining about a 21 minute call (thank goodness he's not a PN customer)
Or he's complaining that the agent was trying to retain his business, or simply find out why he wanted to cancel (which I think is fair enough - although it's interesting that we didn't get to hear the whole call so what was shown may be out of context) because quite often something like "i want to cancel" or "i want a refund" because customers have a problem and don't know what's wrong and just want to "cancel" rather than sort it out. It's a similar experience if you try to phone up Sky to do anything like a downgrade/cancel of your Sky subscription... they go way over the top to try and convince you to keep the package or even upgrade to others... why can't they just get the idea of "i want to downgrade my package"...
Maybe they just expect better customer service over in America than we do here, but I don't think it's particularly suprising having experienced quite a few uk companies customer service in recent years. Some is good (some great) but a lot is very lacking - PlusNet's flying the flag for that one recently
