interleaving

[link to this post]

Is there anywhere on the plusnet portal to see if you have been interleaved, or is this purely down to your own kit?

I cant find the information on my DLINK router, so I was hoping that it would be hidden away somewhere like the max stable rate e.g.

Which D-Link is it?. On my 604 go to the Status Page, and click on DSL Status, the info is the Path Mode, either Fast Path or Interleaved.

I have the 604T with I think the latest firmware (4.03.03.00) and this FW changed the appearance of the console. I have a status tab and a ADSL button, but there is no mention of Path Mode, either Fast Path or Interleaved.

According to the D-Link support page the firmware still the same as it was in 2004. Is it possible you downloaded the new Software/Drivers;

Software/Drivers
Download Version Description Date
3.0 CD v3.0 with D-Link Click and Connect software - optional Configuration Utility (download size: 42.5Mb) 09-02-2006

Try to find the information on your sync speed down and up, and hopefully you should also find what you`re looking for.

The reason I am wondering about interleaving is that my pings are pretty bad

They used to be about 17-20ms

Certainly a different view to mine, however your pings are faster than mine to both PN and BBC, and I`m not interleaved.

Curiously, my pings are better by quite a bit to both sites and I am interleaved.

plusnet @3Mb - If I wanted my 'packet sniffed' I'd buy a dog - it's cheaper than an Ellacoya!
