Plug pulled?

[link to this post]

Guys,

I am in the process of migrating out, I have the MAC and the code was used and my transfer date is the 12th (so I dont pay PN any more than I have to).

However I raised a question on Monday to confirm that my account will not be deleted and asking what will happen to my refferals.

Today I get this response
We are pleased to be able to inform you that a member of our Customer Support
Centre has now returned Question number [ 20214302 ] to yourself.

The following comment was added to the Question
Dear Mr X,
You will still have the free service, and i have cancelled your account.

Referrals :- You will build up your credits then money will be put into your
account. The new referral scheme started on 01/06/06.

Regards,

Now I cant log into the portal and I assume that I have lost my connection, I am working in Italy this week so I cannot check until someone is at home later. I dont want to hold on a international call for who knows how long!!

Do I assume that the to be expected incompetance from PN has indeed cancelled my account?

What free service do I have if they have deleted me?????

Cheers

If you have a sense of decency shouldn't you be taking your referrals with you? One almost feels sorry for them...

Idoubt you're on a free service, maybe they mean a payg (ie no cost unless you use it) dial up access package?

Yes I did think that, but they are light users who are fine with the connection at the moment! Anyway there is a tie in at the moment, which was known about from the outset.

After I sent a email to James I can now log into the portal again (watching paint dry is faster) and after a router reboot connectivity has been restored.

No response and no acknowledgement of the issue from anyone at PN except for a few service notes in the tickets re-enabling the account.

Thank god I wasn
