Is this the end of Plusnot?

E-mails time out, Plusnet portal times out. Perhaps the last man finally turned out the light and left?

Reminds me of what it was doing when they had the power failure and it never reached the portal servers and just kept bouncing between servers somewhere on their network.

I am coming in on BT free dialup. All I can get to work is newsgroup downloading (I cant post) and Plusnetters. Everything else is down. I think my website was still up at 6.30 but my memory is hazy at this time in the morning. My router says connections are fine. So all we have is this and PLusnetters (PUG is down too). Ummmm....

I think its my fault, Earlier this year on the 12 August my son got married, E-mails played up and some didn't arrive until the following day. There was not that many, about forty or fifty, over a thirty six hour period from various parts of the World.

Today my daughter gets married, guess what, same again. So I would like to apologise to Plusnet for any inconvenience I have caused the useless bunch of [censored] by using their pathetic service.

I've had enough of this, it's no way to run a business (which incidentally is what my clients are saying about me not being able to pick up emails etc. etc. ad nauseam)

I've decided to ditch this lot once and for all (and advise all my clients to do the same) - the irony is that with the portal being down (again) I can't ask for my mac code... grrrrr

Service Status Announcement at 07:30 on Monday 11th Septemeber.

Customers may currently be experiencing portal and e-mail timeouts across all visps. We have also lost our internal access to customers account details and as such are unable to deal with any customer queries over the phone. Our engineers are investigating the problem as a priority. Further updates will be given as and when they are available.

We apologise for any inconvenience this outage may be causing.

PUG is back. I have read my newsgroups and surprisingly my posts are getting out although the indications are that they get rejected.

My website was there at 6.30 when I read my POP3

Maybe one of the F9 customers could send that email list of customer details back to them ;-)

And perhaps someone ought to tell CS that there is a change taking place on the email platform.

In reply to:

Email Maintenence - Monday 11th September - Friday 15th September
Maintenance Window:-
Monday 11th September - Friday 15th September

Service Affected:-
Email

Duration of expected customer impact:-
There will be a short period of time during which customers' mailboxes will be unavailable. The exact duration will be dependant on the size of the mailbox itself but should be no longer than 2-3 hours. In most cases this will be no longer than 30-40 seconds.
