PUG LLU FAQ out of date

[link to this post]

Are the PUG going to update their LLU/Tiscali FAQ?

It fails to mention one of the key facts in the PlusNet alternative network suppliers FAQ which is that people who were transferred to LLU without receiving two advance email notifications are entitled to a free migration back to BT IPStream.

It also states that there are no plans to halt LLU migrations.

Given that Tiscali are currently unable to issue MAC codes due to "technical problems", they might also want to mention that? Perhaps also a front page article outlining the misery that many PN customers are experiencing having been trapped onto the "alternative" network supplier's platform?

Why don't you e-mail them directly?

I guess that since they are unpaid volunteers they may not have the time and resources to keep their site up-to-date and therefore useful/reliable.

I think that's a bit harsh.. it may indeed be a reason for delays but to say it's not useful is a bit OTT.. (Just my view)

(The above criticism could very legitimately be applied against us.. we're far behind in getting some things sorted.)

I don't know which bits of AG are out of date but since probably half or more of all PUG forum posts are related to LLU, I would have thought that an outdated and therefore unreliable LLU FAQ was distinctly unhelpful. I accept that other parts of the site are not tarred with the same brush -- but if the 'hot topic' information is unreliable, visitors might also question the reliability of anything else they read there.

No doubt it's a question of priorities -- but I would make sure that the hot topic FAQ was at the top of the priority list and that moderators can refer with confidence to it in the forums.

Also PN seem to be using it to send customers there, so it should be uptodate on the major issue of the day. Especially the conditions under which one can be returned free to BT.

Strange there is no PUG people around here, discreet distance?

Perhaps they don't want to be closed down.

Your sig reminds me that it must be a year since Armstrong said that to me and I left. I miss them like toothache.

Or maybe there is a reason it has not been updated by pug?

e.g.

Maybe Plusnet don't want all their customers knowing they can get a refund for downtime or LLU Macs specialy as they are sending more and more customers to the pug site and it's advertised in the newsletters.

Maybe one of the pug members could reply when the article / information will be updated.
