You mean it was a bit of spin by IW to buy some time for the open and honest new way to get lost in the mists of time?

Soundsytem you have got your extra strong magnifying glass again looking for any improvements. There has been no significant change or any real pointers to change. Watch that objectivety me old son, especially when friends work there.

I see little things changing, you would be a fool to think there would be big changes overnight. Tell you what, Do not visit this forum for say 2 months then return and see if anything has happened. You would then get a lot clearer view.
The funny thing for me, Browse other isp forums on here and there are a lot of ISP`s with similiar problems to plusnet. But for some reason there does not seem to be the same witch hunt.

P.S
(I am not for one minute suggesting +net do not have problems)

But you see Ian Wild seems to have promised soundsytem that we would only have to wait two weeks to see earth changing things that would restore Pn to its former glory.

I am now a convinced synic and don't believe that 2 weeks, two, months or two years will see them change, well not without that promised takeove happening and the share price is still rising, so there is hope for the customers yet!

Don`t get me wrong i can see why people have doubt`s, and 2 weeks does seem a bit ambitous. But lets hope it does change as slow as it may be.

I can see improvements, but exactly what i want and what they do are 2 different things.

I have not got any say so really, as i aint a customer no more, however I am still interested in the way that they treat customers, and their return to being aproper ISP.

Although in your eyes they are small improvements, at least they are improving. Can they do more? Yes and probably will do.

I have never had an issue with you Rogn and we have always got on on here, so maybe we can both leave off them for a little bit longer and then exchange views later?

Maybe IW should have said 6 weeks, and maybe now he wishes he did, but it has been said now and there aint anything he can do about it. The plans to improve are in place, hopefully now they will succeed.

But spin is trying to make something sound better than it is. Sadly this was just typical and not a new start. You have what faith in them you like, but really does sound like the PN we all loved and learned to despise because of their actions.

"

That feels like open to question when they fail to mention in their newsletter anything about refunds on downtime. How can one compare changing a couple of mouse clicks to raise a ticket with such failure to inform their customers of the promises that they have made?

"so maybe we can both leave off them for a little bit longer and then exchange views later?"

I think the two weeks stuff has probably run its course, everyone can see it was a dead duck before it flew. Sorry mate, I can't make any such promise, they still seem the PN of smoke and mirrors and change is for them, IMHO, just a way of trying to get the spin to be believed.

There seems to me, to be insufficient evidence at present, that they have made sufficient improvements in their question/ticket response handling, to meet the expectations that they set a few months back.

I think that there are people in Plusnet who are genuinely trying to improve customer support. I believe that Plusnet have belatedly recognised that poor customer support was hurting their business.

However, I've suspected for some time, that the level of change/improvement that is required, will prove to take longer to deliver, than the expectation set by Plusnet.

I migrated my broadband connection to Newnet, and aside from the fact that I've been delighted with Newnet's service, I also think that I took the right decision, because the improvements needed at Plusnet are going to be longer-term and require a longer faith in Plusnet than the expectation they set.

I think that they concede this point, hence my new revitalised thread.
