Interleaving and moving on

[link to this post]

I moved from Plusnet four days ago, and some of you may remember my post about Interleaving being applied to my line with plusnet and BT having conflicting information to what my router reported. I spent almost a month running tests and posting router logs and waiting days and day for a reply from plusnet. They finally responded with...

------------------------------------------------------------------
"Dear Mr xxxxxxxx,
We are currently investigating an issue where the informtion given to us by BT and the information provided to us by customers regarding interleaving differs. Further updates will be made available when available.

Regards,
xxxx xxxxx "
------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, my connection was becoming a source of frustration and I found I could only get the best out of it from http as vpn, ftp, and gaming appeared to be managed heavily.

So, I migrated away.

When I connected to my new ISP, interleaving was still on. I contacted support a day later and explained the situation. 2 days on and interleaving has been removed from my line.

ping jolt.co.uk

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 18ms, Maximum = 21ms, Average = 19ms

P.s. My connection is what it should be, fast browsing, fast VPN, low pings, great download speeds (not just from http).

I haven't had a problem with Interleaving, browsing speeds are fine, and my ping is around 15-20ms in games.

A quick final point on this.

I just received a call on my mobile from NewNet to let me know that BT had got back to them to say " they have removed interleaving from my line and updated their details".

Thats good customer service!
