I like plusnet but they have let me down

I feel bad leaving plusnet cause I have had a stable connection, Good speed downloads, top pings on online games!

The only reason I have to leave is they are throttling file sharing I tried to download a song got 1k a sec thats mad! On all p2p software i try! 1-4kb --Worse than a 56k modem

I only ever downloaded no more than 1gig a month hardly a crime!

What package are you on? If you use <2GB of data transfer at peak times, you should be on the PayG package which used to claim to be almost free of throttling by the Ellacoyas.

If you are on BB+, you shouldn't expect to be able to use p2p with any speed .....

I on that 21.99 package a month well thats what comes out of my bank every month,

But myp2p speed is 2k lol -- what madness thats worse than a 28k modem

Seema like you are on Premier. PlusNet have recently updated the Ellacoya profiles to implement deep packet inspection to detect encrypted p2p traffic and I believe that there are problems which are crippling p2p.

You won't get the attention of PlusNet reps here but you should be able to get help on the PUG Forum here http://usergroup.plus.net/forum/index.php/board,20.0.html

I know that they made it worse I only use 1gig max and its a pity I have to move ISP just cause of this.

They did give me my mac key inside 30minutes told me I could have 3 months free and a free upgrade to 8 meg!

I need torrent so I had to decline the offer!

Yea I been on that premier for over a year anyway! thanks anyway mate -- That Ellacoya thingy better get a move on with better speed or I could see more people goin mental like me!

If you only use 1Gb per month ask PlusNet to move you to PAYG.

First I've seen of a 3-months-for-free offer. PlusNet must be getting desparate to stem the flow.

They can't be making a profit on this customer if they keep offering this to every customer. Maybe they looked at the Op's downloading profile and found that this is actually the type of customer they want, i.e. downloads about 1GB a month.
