BT broadband sales, lots of calls!!

[link to this post]

I've had 4 calls in the past month from BT Broadband trying to sell me their products.

Anyone else had multiple calls from them?

I may be cynical, but either they are looking at the PN database or they are on a big marketing push and someone keeps forgetting to tick the "not interested and dont ring back" button when I do tell them no.

FINALLY managed to get ADSL on 4th November 2003!!!!!!! HURRAR!!!!!!!!

We are ex directory so get very few if any sales calls. If PN had passed details across I guess we would have had a call by now but we haven't. You must be very popular to get that many calls !!!!!

I had a couple of blokes from Sky knocked at the door a couple of weeks ago who informed me they would be installing a new telephone line right upto my house and that I should be advised that my BT line may be disconnected for serveral days. But if I signed up for the Sky telephone and broadband package I could avoid the disconnection.

I asked them if the minded waiting whilst I checked with BT, trading standards and the police. Strangly enough all of a sudden they were in a hurry to get away, shame!

Odd, when you start talking Trading Standards and Police to Plusnet, they seem to go quite quiet too.

Putting a smiley around stuff does not mean its fine to make stupid statements

That was a childish remark and totally uncalled for. It seems a sense of humour is something you don't have

The proportion of posts within the PN section, where I've read them, ending with smileys has gone down from over 80% to under 50% in recent months though. I couldn't possibly comment on whether they were silly remarks, or meant to be useful, within each thread, though...

edit to add "within the PN section, where I've read them,"
