Thanks dudes

Just a final post in this forum to thank all those posters that have helped me over the last 12months with informative answers to my PlusNet questions.

Having decided that MaxDSL is not for me because of it's inherant stability problems I have now cancelled and I'm switching to Virgin Media.

One last interesting point was that whilst I have had terrible speeds until fairly recently, it has perked up somewhat after I changed my router (I did this once before with no effect). My 0.5Mbps has gone up to around 5.5Mbps. This event was odd in itself as support staff had told me and I quote "In order to improve your line profile you have to remain synchronized at a higher speed for 3 consecutive days.", however, the speed rise occurred *within* a 24hour period and has remained there since.

Which router did you have and which router did you change to?
