Sign up procedure?

Someone has just told me about their signing up woes with Plusnet.

As the person does not have a lot of money and cannot afford to subscribe to Sky for their broadband, an ex customer who is on Sky recommended Plusnet as an ISP.

Ordinarily the first payment would be taken before activation, and the next would be due 30 days after the date of activation.

It certainly sounds like something's not right here. If you could PM me a ticket number or username I'd be happy to take a look.

(Obviously I wouldn't be able to tell you all the details, but I can get any issues sorted for your friend)
