Sales dept attitude?

[link to this post]

Hi All,

I called the sales dept today to discuss Home Phone and spoke to gentleman who exhibited very little in the way of customer service or festive spirit, I asked to speak to one of his colleagues on the basis that I might get along a little better with someone else, he said he would consult with his supervisor at which point I got cut off.

I called back and spoke to someone in the Customer Services dept, he broadly confirmed what the other guy had advised though did so with some understanding, rationale and customer service.

I was a little surprised that neither the sales guy or his supervisor (whom he said was monitoring the call) attempted to call me back after the call was cut off.

Having been pleased with Plusnet broadband over 5 years or so this attitude has made me a little wary of moving to Home Phone as well.

Any thoughts?

Regards.

Hey 50,

Someone from Plusnet might reply asking to PM your telephone number you called from, then they can track who you spoke to and sort it out. I admit i used support lately and also didnt find them too helpful. Hope you get sorted with it all.

It's hit and miss with who you speak to at Plusnet, same as if you call during the night and whether they can be bothered to turn the radio down low enough to speak to you - in my experience.

That doesn't sound great, do you happen to remember the name of the first person? I can probably track down who it is and have a word with them if you want to PM me your username and the rough time you first rang?

Must admit to having the same problem.

Initially sent an online enquiry to them, and admittedly the responded fairly quickly. However I phoned twice on the back of that enquiry, and couldn't get through to anyone. The phone just rang out. Then when I tried again, got through to someone in sales, who acted like he couldn't care about whether I purchased or not.
Eventually spoke to a Joseph (I think) in customer services, who was helpful with my query.

If you have any queries regarding ADSL2+ or aggregated DSL, feel free to PM me or contact me via email.
