Thanks.
I signed up yesterday using that quidco offer but it doesn't seem to be showing in earnings yet?

Quidco can take a few days to acknowledge the transaction at times.

Ah I didn't know that, thought it should be instant. Thanks.
My dad desperately needs broadband in his office so I am tempted to sign him up to that option 1 deal.
Do you have any idea how long that special offer will last?
Do you know what brand/model the 4 port wireless router is?

No, but I think the Quidco offer was just for one week. The £56 is basically twice the normal cashback rate of £28.

I think Plusnet supply the Speedtouch 585v7 as standard, so I presume it'd be that.

Option 1 is a 1-port router, not 4-port.
Edit - Ignore the above garbage - that's the standard details. The Special Offer is 4-port.

Home office or workplace office? If it's a business telephone line he probably wouldn't be able to sign up for a home product.

Workplace office. I thought that would be the case but all the business broadband packages are very expensive and packed with features that my dad will never use. He will only need it for very light browsing and email use.
Maybe dial-up would be better.

It would certainly, at times, be faster than Option 1 which in certain circumstances is throttled down to 50Kbps [ie dial-up speed].

Oh dear.... So i missed the gigabyte offer, missed the special router upgrade AND only hope to get the single cashback from Quidco. Still it could be worse - I might have bricked the router while trying to get Routertech on it. Oh no hang on.....

A good site, but the download servers list is now out of date since the 15th January.

No harm in pointing out the limitations of any pack but it is also reasonable to point out the merits.
The requirement is as I understand it is and I quote "He will only need it for very light browsing and email use." It is my understanding that is exactly what this pack is designed to provide so your advice that dial up would be better ( it would tie up the phone line you know) is rather poor advice IMO.
We should always try to give advice that meets the posters needs and not be blinkered by our own perceptions.
The fact that it is a business line is a different issue.
