Market 3 Conundrum

[link to this post]

My Exchange has Be, O2, TalkTalk, Tiscali and Virgin. Because it (allegedly) has
less than ten thousand homes it is still a market 2 exchange despite the plethora
of competition!

Where is my incentive not to change!

P S Any chance a router with built in ATA or could BT offer a PN flash for a
home hub?

None at all.. I'm in the same situation - except none of the LLU players are as yet showing an interest...

O2 would be the choice for me...

If nothing else, this product refresh has educated people on the different exchange types (Markets 1-3 + Hull) and given people an incentive to look around as to what other options are available.

Possibly not the required result.

FINALLY managed to get ADSL on 4th November 2003!!!!!!! HURRAR!!!!!!!!

Judging by the dates which the LLU operators went live, your exchange will have been in one of the 'first batch' of Market 3's which were taken status at jul 2007.
Ofcom did a further review to update some exchanges.. and from what I can gather this may well have been when they started applying the 10,000 premises rule.

There may also be a few exchanges in the most recent list that arent yet M3, but they were projected to have been M3 by the end of last year. I wouldnt think you would come across many (if any) of those situations though.

Yes, and I have just upgraded my V1, BUT the VOIP doesn't work with Plus Net only BTB!
Shame as I am looking at moving to voip, with my free min from Plusnet but the router won't let me use it.

If you do a search in the Voip forum I think there are detailed instructions.
