Would Plusnet Pro be ok for me?

Hi guys

I`m currently with O2 and because their speeds are so crippingly slow at evenings and weekends I`m looking to change suppliers. I like the look of plusnet pro as there is not any throttling so presumably speeds should be good at peak times.

My usage is just the usual web surfing - I download a few tracks and apps from Itunes and play Xbox live maybe a few hours per night. I do download large files over p2p but would be quite happy to schedule this overnight when I believe its free. I also need to download drivers and programmes from download servers at all times and at good speeds.

Id appreciate advice from anyone who is on this package or has experience of it.
My exchange is Llangadog and my line synchs at around 4mbit. Its not an LLU area.

Depending on your usage and how patient you can be, might be worth considering Unlimited too:

If you think you'll be under 15Gb a month though, Pro looks ideal.

I'm still on a legacy package but I've never had any problems with the throttling, etc in the past. Can't say from experience about Pro, but I've no real complaints about PN or it's network, others may differ in their view though.

Ironic, I'm moving to O2 soon, thankfully LLU and not Access!!!

I'm on Pro, I do as you suggest and schedule my torrents and big downloads between midnight and 8am when it's unlimited downloads.

I find speeds excellent 24/7. I've only been with Plusnet for about 3 weeks and am very impressed. You'll also get a free voip account with geographical number and 240 minutes to land lines included, which is a good bonus.

Be aware though Plusnet have introduced a 12 month contract on Pro and I believe 18 month contract on all their other products.

I thought about the unlimited but I think that costs the same £19.99 for me as I`m not in a high speed area.

I`m not too worried about the 12month contract. I may however be moving house in 3 or 4 months. Would I be able to transfer my broadband to a new address for free?

Looking at the link below it's free as long as you stay with Plusnet for 12 months after the move, if you leave before the 12 months then you'll be liable for the £60 charge.
