Changing package mid-billing period

[link to this post]

Has the 'bug' been fixed to allow customers to change to the one of the new products within a billing period? - when the CSC tried this on my account two weeks ago it caused authentication issues and I had to be put back to my original package to fix it.

Thanks.

Possibly not.

I just asked for my aunt to be switched from BBYW Option 1 to Value and the response said it would done at the next billing date.

Did you do it via a ticket or phone call ?

I was going to do it via the "upgrade product" link or whatever it's called but then saw this post and did it via a ticket

Hiya,

It's not a bug, it's a product rule smile

We can do it immediately, but if you have Home Phone, it will cause a loss of sync in the home phone and broadband billing dates.

Well I don't have Home Phone and I've changed BBYW packages mid-month previously without complications. 'tis OK I'll wait till the 12th, but I may change my mind before then wink

Yep, it used to work fine smile

Basically, because there would be pro rata payments & discounts needing to be applied at the same time, changing mid-billing period causes "issues".
