Is anything going on this morning?

Seems to be one of those mornings! My connection was OK at first, but then it ceased up, and when I tried to reconnect, I could not be assigned an IP address, apparently.

After multiple attempts, and a couple of reboots of the hardware, I managed to obtain a dynamic IP address. But then I could not get any domain name resolution...at all.

I switched to open DNS yesterday, in the hopes it would cure recent problems, BUT I switched it back again today, just in case it had anything to do with the failure to get an IP address (don't really see why it would, but ho hum...if in doubt, put everything back as it was). So the DNS problems this morning were definitely when trying to use the Plusnet-assigned DNS servers, not open DNS.
