Potentially a New Customer

Hi,

I am a current O2 customer on the Home Access Broadband, and recently the company has introduced traffic management, thereby having a drastic effect on my surfing habits.

I'm not a P2P downloader or the type that downloads gigs worth of stuff, but I do visit a lot of websites and I find that websites such as BBC, Telegraph, Facebook etc take an age to load.

O2 have reassured me that their traffic management only takes place between the hours of 8pm and 11pm, which is crock.

Anyways, I was wondering, does the Plusnet Value at £5.99 have any traffic management? If so, is this the same on the Plusnet Unlimited at £11.99 a month?

You have slightly the wrong end of the stick I think about O2 Access . It isn't their traffic management ruining it for you, it is pure congestion and the fact that the traffic management hasn't yet been introduced so far as anyone knows. Even though it has been announced.

The traffic management they are introducing is meant specifically to help people like yourself. Whether it will succeed in doing so in the near future is another question .

So, the good news!

Plusnet have very powerful traffic management, and it works. The result seems to be that for people with the sort of usage you say you have it is possibly the best BT Wholesale based ISP. The only other one to consider would be Newnet.
