Is There A Problem?

THis is the second day I've been suffering with pages not displaying, dropped connections, some websites not loading, wireless link dropping, and slow browsing.

Trace complete.

Is anyone else having problems? I'm migrating and my line is being switched to LLU on Friday. I'm wondering if it has something to do with this?

Unfortunately we had a pipe drop last night, which has led to the network being a bit out of balance. I'd recommend switching gateways until you get onto pcl-ag02 - you should find things are a bit better then. You can tell which gateway you're on from the second hop in the traceroute (you're on pte-ag01 at the moment).

Hope that helps,

Hiya,

Thanks for your reply.

I've just had another look. I'm still on pte-ag01 at the moment, but am due to be switched over to LLU before midnight, so will leave it for now.

We may come back to Plusnet in the future if Talk Talk doesn't work out. The main reason we're moving is because of financial reasons, plus hopefully faster speeds in the future. According to checkers, there are no plans by BT to introduce WBC to our local telephone exchange. The congestion on our exchange at peak times can sometimes be a problem, and it makes browsing slow, not to mention constant buffering on YouTube videos etc.

Thanks again smile

Irrelevant now, but who told you your exchange was congested?

Check it here.

That hasn't updated since September, but put your phone number into this one which seems to be up to date.
