Which supplied PlusNet router - wired or wireless?

does anyone have an opinion on this? (red rag to a bull?)
I'm just about to upgrade a client's connection from an old payg account to Premium. Going to need an adsl2+ router, so thought we may as well get a "free" one from pn.

The setup already has a separate wireless router that works fine, so we don't need a wireless router.

Which routers are supplied when one asks for a wired or wireless router, and ignoring the wireless difference, which is best?

The short answer is don't bother.
The long answer is that the are both Thompson Speedtouch and I wouldn't touch either of them with a bargepole

Ah haa! That's interesting. Worth paying separately for a Netgear or something?
What's the problem with the Speedtouch routers? I have one on my home connection (with Be), and it sort of keeps on trucking.

They are an absolute pig to set up if you want to do anything out of the ordinary

Righto. So, given that to date we've done nothing out of the ordinary, we're about half a mile from the exchange, and we've no plans to move away from PN anytime soon (assuming upgrade goes smoothly!), I'm thinking we let PN send us one and just get another as and when we want to do something out of the ordinary or there's a problem?
Seems like the most logical way forward to me.

I use the Speedtouch without issue, mind you I don't want to do "anything out of the ordinary", I've always found speedtouch ok and had one prior to this, the web gui is a bit fiddly but once you find your way round it's fine, I also had a netgear and had real problems with that

As a total novice - I assumed that you were going to have to use bridge mode if you are going to continue using the other router
