Is there anyone asnwering tickets now???

[link to this post]

Hi All

The last CSC reply on my ticket ID: 30838131 was at 10.21am on the 24th December.

I have in the meantime posted with feedback and requests for answers but nowt forthcoming.

Is there anyone covering the ticket system at the moment???

It would be good to have someone give it the attention I ask?

If the replies need one of the specialist faults team and not CSC fine but silence is not golden as far as customer service support goes not to at least inform me of when someone will attend to the ticket???

TIA smile

More info to 'figure' in?

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

I have not yet added this info to the ticket.

Ages ago when I first used the BT Availability checker it said of my line that normal DSL could be 1.5Mbps and that MaxDSL would be some thing like 2.5Mbps. Well after going Max I actually got over 3.0Mbps

Well just for laugh (not) I thought I would see what BT says now, copied below:-

===================================================================
For Telephone Number XXXXXXXXXX on Exchange CLANDON

Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line rate up to 1Mbps. However due to the length of your line the 1Mbps service may require an engineer visit who will, where possible, supply the broadband service.

Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL Max broadband line rate of 1.5Mbps or greater.
===================================================================
Suffice to say in my simple minded opinion something has changed since the first day I got MaxDSL - just what the heck has changed since I first got MaxDSL that has had BT state I get half what I first enjoyed. For the record the Line Attuation has not changed so based on that figure it is not as if they have added "more line into the connection".

I just wish someone with BT knowlegde could explain it and why I no longer get the servive I used have???

frown

PS Currently sync at 2016 with a Magin of 14.8db and TBB speed tested at 1.5Mbps

PPS Part of the ticket excercise I mention above was that PlusNet restarted the 10 day retrain and initially I was on a sync of over 3000 and margin of 6db (yippee I thought) and then approx to the hour every two days the sync dropped and the margin rose ~ this being on a nice stable line as logged by RouterStats. This aspect of the connection & retrain is one of the answers I am waiting on???

I don't think you can set much store by what the stupid availability-checker thing says.

As far as I know, it's just an estimate. They DON'T test the line, and it isn't personalised to you.

I think they have revised a lot of the estimates downwards in recent months - perhaps to avoid creating false expectations. I don't think it can be inferred that there has been any change to the line itself. Just a change in how far they are willing to stick their necks out.

P.S. PN are answering tickets at the moment, but only with the standard "please use the broadband fault checker" nonsense...until I complained here.

I have now had an actual person refresh my profile for me, and am monitoring things, to see if it has fixed my speeds.

Hi

Yes, I went through the Fault Checker cycle and PN reset the Profile and restarted the training period - now finished with a worse speed than I had 30 days ago. The ticket is still open and to be frank the level of service was varied in that one said reboot the router a few times during the period and another said best not to do that.....???

Call me a cynic but being human do they get tired of problems that are hard to answer/resolve and concentrate on the easier stuff? As I indicated this is the second time of asking in I think 2 years (would need to check the date on the older ticket to be sure of the timeframe) since my connection took a turn for the worse.

I look forward to hearing the background & results of your problem and wonder how similar it is to mine???

Unknown info on the last reply???

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

Right, I had a CSC reply yesterday afternoon (oddly no email to tell me or "uqestion answered" when looged in to the portal) found it by looking at the "questions" page.

The CSC had pasted one of those replies with the line 'test' information ~ I almost thought it like all the others until I spotted this under Service Option Status

"A SERVICE OPTION CHANGE ORDER IS IN PROGRESS ON THIS LINE"

Now I replied asking, apart from a request again for my earlier questions to be replied to, what does the above mean to me and the line status???

In the meantime does anyone here know what it means???

TIA
