I have not yet added this info to the ticket.
Ages ago when I first used the BT Availability checker it said of my line that normal DSL could be 1.5Mbps and that MaxDSL would be some thing like 2.5Mbps. Well after going Max I actually got over 3.0Mbps
Well just for laugh (not) I thought I would see what BT says now, copied below:-
===================================================================
For Telephone Number XXXXXXXXXX on Exchange CLANDON
Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line rate up to 1Mbps. However due to the length of your line the 1Mbps service may require an engineer visit who will, where possible, supply the broadband service.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL Max broadband line rate of 1.5Mbps or greater.

Suffice to say in my simple minded opinion something has changed since the first day I got MaxDSL - just what the heck has changed since I first got MaxDSL that has had BT state I get half what I first enjoyed. For the record the Line Attuation has not changed so based on that figure it is not as if they have added "more line into the connection".
I just wish someone with BT knowlegde could explain it and why I no longer get the servive I used have???
PS Currently sync at 2016 with a Magin of 14.8db and TBB speed tested at 1.5Mbps
PPS Part of the ticket excercise I mention above was that PlusNet restarted the 10 day retrain and initially I was on a sync of over 3000 and margin of 6db (yippee I thought) and then approx to the hour every two days the sync dropped and the margin rose ~ this being on a nice stable line as logged by RouterStats. This aspect of the connection & retrain is one of the answers I am waiting on???
