Which Modem/router?

What make(s) and type(s) of modem/routers do PlusNet supply and/or support, please?

I may decide to buy a new one to replace my old (very cheap, but it lasted quite a few years!) Origo ASR-8100, and all other things being equal, it may as well be one which they are familar with in case I ever hit any problems.

The Thompson 585v7 or (I believe) a Speedtouch 516 one port router if you really want it

If this was a silly forum like Free Chat, I would type something like

[Screech of tyres]
[Slamming of car doors]
[Sound of heavy boots running]
[Sound of loud hailer:]

STAND AWAY FROM YOUR KEYBOARD WITH YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!

However, as this is a nice, sensible forum, I won't.

Oh, and thank you to the other poster for the info. Do I take it from your tone that there may well be better modem/routers to chose? If so, which? Or perhaps that is a question better asked in a general (not the PlusNet) forum?

I can recommend the 585v7 but note it's been a lot better after the latest firmware upgrade from BE (I'm on BE not Plusnet).
