Hi,
A family member is with MAAF, but for the amount they use it, I think moving them to the Plusnet value product, makes more sense. Given that MAAF are part of Plusnet what is the easiest way to achieve this and is there any cost involved to transfer?
Would such a move be treated as a standard mac migration or is there some other way to do this?
Thanks in anticipation!
Graham.

I moved from Waitrose to Greenbee and then to Plusnet, each time I just phoned CS and got them to arrange it. There was no MAC involved and it was free each time. I also kept my Waitrose email address throughout which save a lot of hassle!

Thanks for that info Dennis - much appreciated. Did you have to ask to keep your email address or did that just happen as a matter of course?

Graham

Hi Graham
When I moved from Waitrose to Greenbee it was offered as part of the move, when I moved from Greenbee to Plusnet I specifically asked to retain it. Both times there were no problems.
I moved from Waitrose to Greenbee to get a combined BB/phone package and from Greenbee to PN to save money!
Hopefully one of the PN reps will pick this up tomorrow & give the official answer.

I have just moved from MAAF to Plusnet and no problems, I have kept my email address.
I would perhaps PM one of ISP reps.

Not going to smoothly this.
Apparently he has been migrated and has been given a logon ending plusdsl.net which he has changed on his router from the maaf logon.
This doesn't connect. He's using his original password as he was told to.
The emails about the migration, (to his MAAF email) which I have had to get view via webmail (the family member's PC being offline now) refer to Madasafish PAYG account?!? Is this the same as PlusNet value?
He's back on the phone to the customer folk, but he isn't too happy as this isn't going well.
Grateful for any insight frm those who have been here before!
MTIA,
Graham.

My login is [email protected] and my chosen password.

I 'm not 100% sure but I think his Madasafish account has been downgraded to PAYG (standard practice I believe) which is definitely not the same as PN Value.
Emails may well go to his Madasafish account as well as his new PN one!

Might be worth trying to log on to the maaf account to check the migration has been activated, although it's not actually a migration as such but a realm change ........... well that's what someone told me a few years ago
