Possible to move to another ISP and keep email addresses?

[link to this post]

Hi all,

After almost a decade with Plusnet (originally with f9 before they became one), im considering leaving. On a legacy product with a peak time cap on which i seem to be using up earlier and earlier as the months roll on.... sign of changing times in internet use i guess smile.

As i'm looking to take out sky hd in the not so distant future, from the looks of things they seem to do a good broadband package with it. My question is, if i migrate to sky... anyone know if there is a way i can keep my plusnet (actually f9) email addresses/mailboxes active? Or would these all get cancelled if i'm no longer a plusnet customer.

Thanks.

F9/plusnet

When you request your MAC, raise a ticket asking for your account to be downgraded to a Dial-up PAYG account on completion of the migration.

As long as you continue to retrieve your Mail at least once every 3? months, either by logging into the Webmail portal or via POP3, your account will stay live.

Be very cautious about your move - I know of two families in different parts of the UK that moved to Sky for Broadband and they are having to wait for several weeks to get connected.

There's no 3 month rule to keep the account 'live', we just archive any un-collected email after that time.
