Slow Slow Slow

Guys, Is it just me?.........

But going to this address https://www.plus.net/ takes 35 seconds until the page *starts* to load...... this feels sooo pedestrian. If I'm not mistaken Plusnet actually feels like the slowest site on the www! Every page inside it takes for ever to load.

Other sites are nowhere near as bad, but there is always a pregnant pause of btween 5-10 seconds.

Could this be a DNS look up problem, and if so, presumably changing the router DNS IPs would resolve this?

We are on Plusnet pro and I expected the performance to be the same as Waitrose...no traffic shaping at all...it doesn't feel that way

If it's only a problem with our webpage then it's not an issue with traffic prioritisation.

What are your throughput speeds and pings like? Are you using our DNS servers?

DNS servers are the ones I mentioned the other day....the .49 and .50

The IP is INSTANT!!!

It's the DNS servers then!!!!?

Looks to be something to do with it.

That's as far as my techie knowledge goes though.

I think I need to find some alternate DNS IP's now....any suggestions folks?

Have reset to use different DNS and restarted the router...Interestingly it looks as though plusnet have found a way of making the router pick up the DNS they want rather than the router config!

So it seems regardless of the chosen DNS server the PN 6.9 and 6.10 ones are forced upon us!

What's the deal here...?
