Setting Up E-mail on Mobile

I am trying to get e-mail from my plusnet account to work on my mobile. I have setup the account details for IMAP and STMP and the phone happily gets my e-mails. The problem I have is I cannot send any . I am on the 3 network and have read their guides and the only thing I can think it may be is the out going mail uses port 25. Does anybody know how to fix this?

You have to use that server because the normal 3 outgoing server stops you using any non-three email address as the from address.

Can the phone send emails via wifi? If the phone does wifi, and you can send emails that would suggest that your problem lies with the 3 network.

No the phone does not do WiFi
