Anyone hacked their openreach modem ?

Any of you guys used hacked firmware to unlock your openreach modem so you can see line stats among other things, or have you bought one of those chinese VDSL routers ?

I'm thinking of getting one of those hg622 chinese router http://huaweihg612hacking.wordpress.com/2013/01/28/c...

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'd wait and see which make of modem you get.
