Upgrade ADSL to Fibre During Contract?

If I take out a 12 month contract for "Unlimited Broadband" using ADSL and during the twelve month period my area gets FTTC enabled will Plusnet let me migrate from the ADSL contract to Plusnet's fibre package without any penalty fee?

Depends what you call a penalty fee.

You will not be charged to upgrade, but if you are still within a discount period, such as half price for six months, you would lose the discount.

Upgrading to a different product cancels the existing one to which the discount is being applied.

To add to that:

You'd also start a new contract of the minimum contract length for fibre.

If you are in a position where you'd lose a discount a discussion with the Customer Options Team is very likely to be fruitful. wink
