My contract is up in days and I wondered if anyone has been offered any retention deals. Ive just got there light fibre for about £23. Is there any deals or just change again?

Light fibre is not listed as a current product. 40/10 FTTC is £21.99 pm at the moment. £1 pm less than I agreed to pay a few months ago.

my contract was up for renewal recently with a fairly large price increase. Basically because a deal they gave me a year or so ago had expired. Phoned the number on the email, got through directly to retentions and was offered an equally good deal without any hassle. Don't ask, don't get.

As far as I can see, they will offer you a deal that's about equivalent to whatever their offer is for new customers. Maybe I was lucky, maybe it's standard practice.

IIRC it is now an Ofcom requirement.

ISTR reading something like that too. I doubt that the whole industry is going to fall into line quickly and there will be a fair bit of kicking and screaming..

As for ppppenguin99 above. Ring number given on email, you'll get rate similar to your closing contract, then the accounts dept will screw up your first invoice so you have to ring the poor adviser to sort it out. After that, I've never had a problem with PN
