Likely to be Google Ad-words tracking.
I posted some items from a courier the other day, and now I see more ads targeting that sector.

If you want to block the adds suggest you take a look at the add on here at Ghostery.com

Edit the Host files.

Eh? I didn't want to remove them, just saying that it is advertising directed at me as it is relevant.

Access to here (both the forums and the main site) is free, but they cost money to run... so you get adverts.
They do use tracking via Google, but they're hardly intrusive.

No, you edit the hosts file to INCLUDE/ALLOW the safe ads here - I wouldn't have it any other way, Bill.

TBH I can never really understand why people get so het up about adverts... if I consider a site is too overloaded with adverts or they're too intrusive then I simply don't go there again.
For reasonable levels of adverts I suppose I could use an ad-blocker, but they're not 100% effective. Whereas the one behind my eyeballs is

I have no problems with the ads here as they are not the least bit intrusive.
I only block ads when they do become intrusive like the ads that sometimes appear on PC Advisor.
They are so bad that they obstruct the text that you are trying to read if you accidentally hover your mouse over them!
To block them I use both the Firefox NoScript and the Adblock Plus add-on.

If a few ads is the price we pay for this site and all the know-how we get from it, then it's for nothing. Thank you.

For Windows XP, I zapped it with
CCleaner http://www.snapfiles.com/get/ccleaner.html
Wise Registry Cleaner http://www.snapfiles.com/get/wiseregistry.html
RegSeeker http://www.snapfiles.com/get/regseeker.html
...and got rid, the computer now runs much faster.
