Occasionally Kaspersky IS 2013 has been reporting probable spam based on Heuristic Analysis (weighting factor 90). I think I understand what that means, and I gather that KIS has blocked it?
But it would be useful to be able to identify the particular source. Can any of you guys kindly tell me how to do so, please?

What do you mean (or are asking) exactly?

I'm assuming that KIS has been identifying an email (or some other download/s) which it thinks, by heuristic analysis, to be suspect. It reports on it and, hopefully, kicks it into hyperspace. But obviously I'd like to identify where that email (or whatever) is coming from.
Have raised a query with Kaspersky but am still awaiting a reply.

Knowing kaspersky it is probably a false positive. It could just be something that is appearing on a website which it is detecting in your temporary internet files/cache and poses no threat to you.

Also, knowing Kaspersky, you might be in for a long wait.

Pip, thanks for putting my mind at rest.

You'll wait weeks for a reply from Kaspersky, if you get one at all. But the KIS forum is excellent and I've seen these suspect reports on several occasions. By posting your details, everyone can learn about them.

Using Kaspersky UK support?
I usually get replies within hours, and definitely the next day (except weekends).

Same here. It's an excellent service.

Hmmm. I've now had a reply from Kaspersky which, unfortunately, addresses a different question.
Support in UK? From the lady's name and the phraseology I'm not totally convinced.

kaspersky.co.uk?
Personally, I prefer to manage my own spam (What very little I receive) so that feature is turned off. Imagine your postman deciding which letters that you receive?

The UK website shows an 0871 number, but the 'say no to 0870' site gives 01235 822000 as the alternative.
I never phone them though - or haven't done so for years.
