BT Cyber Threat Protect.

For many years I have used Kaspersky Total/Premium for internet security and I still consider Kaspersky to be very good but I am fully aware  of the theoretical links to the Russian State which is why I considered using Norton instead a few years ago but there were things about Norton that I did mot like so I returned to the Kaspersky products that I had already paid for in advance..

Many years ago, (in online deals), I bought a number of years of  Kaspersky Total/Premium in advance at a very good prices so I simply stacked them up in my Kaspersky Account for later use and I simply used them one by one as they expired but the last one ends in next year, in February 2027, which leaves me with a dilemma.

Since I am against the war in Ukraine; I want to avoid putting any "new funds" into Russia so I can now simply use Windows Defender on the Windows PC's, free AV on the Android Phones and nothing on the IPad and iPhones which would probably be good enough or I can choose an alternative AV Package.

The choice is now complicated because as a BT Customer I can get BT Cyber Threat Protect for free which is I understand it Norton by another name and I have not previously liked a number of things about Norton when I have tried it previous, (the worse being that on the Windows PC it removed the Windows Restore Points as it was installed which stopped the user from reverting to the day before Norton was installed in the PC and it then needed a Factory Reset to get rid of Norton.

Do uses of BT Cyber Threat Protect know if it acts in the same way ?

On a Windows PC does BT Cyber Threat Protect remove all of the Windows Restore Points as it is installed ?

Since it is free I will probably just use it on the Android Phones, (Google Pixel Pro and Samsung Galaxy), but I will need to thing think long and hard before it is installed onto a Windows PC.
