Sky Connect - Any Good ??

[link to this post]

I thin I've decided to move from BT (overpriced with dodgy equipment as far as Home Hubs are concerned!!) to Sky, but in my area can only have Sky connect at the moment, until late 2007 apparently. At 17 it's a bit pricey compare to their 'own' packages and I can't see too many posts on the subject.

Anyone have Connect and if so - is it any worse than Sky's 'Mid' product in terms of speed or reliability?

Equally - any comparison anyone has with BT would be useful.

Cheers,

I've had Sky Connect for just about two weeks and it is far better than Nildram's service. Moved from Nildram as I was paying 16.50 for a Pay as you Go 2.5GB service.

Sky Connect is stable and the speeds seem to be very reliable. Netgear router is reliable as well.

Would recommend signing up, had a lot of trouble though with my migration. I think the best way to sum up the migration process is that it's very hit or miss, if something goes wrong - it goes down hill from their or at least that was my experience.

I'm waiting for Base, Mid, etc - which will be available early in 2007 apparently, fingers crossed.

Sky Broadband - Connect.
