Order Migration Online

[link to this post]

I interested in migrating onto the sky connect, and already have the 15 TV package.
I have a couple of Questions.

1 ) Is there anyway of ordering online, as the availibity checker says its available to me for 5 per month but i need to ring that 0870 number to make the order.

Im currently with Metronet and fairly happy as im a light user( lees than 1 GIG) but it still pay around 12 odd per month, so this connect package at 5 would help.

2 ) LLU must be comming soon and im hoping to go for the FREE 2 GIG a month pack, although im not sure if i sign up to the connect package now, will i be able to change in six months time, with this 12 month contract?

To get the 5 offer I think you have to do it over the phone. You will get transfered to the MID package free when LLU comes along, but it will still cost you 5 a month.

Weigh this up against the 40 connection fee for the BASE package though - that's equivalent to 4 months MID subscription anyway (ie 40 connection fee less the 20 you will pay now), and combined with the half price activation/5 a month for connect offer, you will still be on the winning side anyway.

My posts are my opinions unless stated otherwise.

Thank you, i have thought of going ahead anyway, i was wondering if there was some way of ordering online, just saving a couple of quid on the phone call.

I suppose the only people who know is Sky themselves, or someone in a similar position to myself who has done the same thing.

I could hold out for a few months anyway and get the BASE package and then save the 5 a month which will pay for itself after about nine months anyway?

thanks again.
