Is my order going through?

[link to this post]

Hi all,

I have decided to migrate from Orange to Sky. After a few problems with my mac code, sky have now accepted the order and have given me an activation date of the 12th Feb. I have had a look on the BT tracker and the only order I can see is:

Description Product name Quantity Cost Rental
CEASE LLU LINE SHARE PSTN 1 0.0 0.0
CEASE CEASE SMPF 1 0.0 0.0

This is scheduled for the 15th Feb and I am guessing this is to cease my Orange connection. Should I be concerned that there seems to be no order for Sky?

Thanks

Which order tracker is that? It seems to be a different format to the one I get when I log in to bt.com (doesn't have quantity or cost.

It is the BT tracker site; I have just selected 'view details' and that shows the info on cost etc

Ah, I see. I have a change order there for 9th Feb, but can't view the details. I get "We weren't able to retrieve your order information. This could be a temporary system issue, please try again later". I suspect that's the cease of UK Online, but strange it's a "change" order.

Yep, mine is a change order but the view details says it is a cease. I am just concerned there is no order for Sky!

Probably needs to wait for the Orange cease to go through first. I'm just waiting for my cease to complete and then I can order Sky Broadband, but I can't view details for that order!

If you are on a Sky LLU exchange, I'm not sure if you will see a provision order through the BT system (as Sky have their own kit there, the order should be through their order system)...

I would have thought this would be the expected process for an LLU exchange, but I may be wrong.

I am on a Sky LLU exchange (have gone for the MAX package). Sky have told me my activation date (spoke to them 3 times and all said the same) so I guess it is just a case of keeping my fingers crossed!

Cheers

To answer my own post:

Spoken to Sky again who have said my order has failed. However, bt inform me the order on my line is for a cease of my current provider of Orange. This means come the 15th Feb I will have no broadband at all (not happy about that) and should be free to join sky on the 16th. Does this sound about right?

thanks
