Connected.. not quite yet..

[link to this post]

Well the phone went dead about 2 hours ago, my MAAF connection now doesn't connect so I take it Sky have taken over now, so officially on the books so to speak..

Connected up router, but the "flashing" i symbol, i believe the dsl status indicator aint doin nothing.. so no connection and tried to instal via the CD and no connection found..

So its just a waiting game now I guess, on dial up now..;0(

Can anyone outline briefly did there phone go down for 5-10 mins?? did you wait a certain period (the 3 days extra to allow, as outlined in letter for example..)

Will keep ya posted!
Ged

Glad its gone well Ray, unfortunately I have lost my connection from my old ISP and Sky Router showing no DSL connection. Spoke to CS, was requested to wait the three days..so basically a waiting game. Quite odd though as my old router shows a DSL line?

Ahh well, will wait and see..

Glad it went good for you though..

No there is no dsl signal indication on the Sky router.. either via my extension or direct via the main BT box..

The Voyager however picks up a DSL signal, well atleast the DSL light indicator says so.. very difficult to tell whether I have a DSL connection or not, and unfortunately no way to check, until I speak to BT tomorrow..

Sky couldn't (or wouldn't tell me) if it was activated or not... I will allow 3 days and a little extra if needed if its a teething issue on the migration.
However the moment I get the feeling its going to be long term problem (or over the 8 days cool off)..I'll just request my MAC & go back to my previous ISP.
I simply won't allow myself to become embroiled within the ever mounting Customer Disatisfaction Circus which Sky seem to putting there customers through.

I had big problems with migrating to sky. Sky C.S are a waste off time I cancelled with sky and went back to my isp and told sky I would try again in a month or two when they get there act togeather don't let them string it out with lies telling you they will phone back they won't so has soon has that happens I would cancel straight away.
