The first is if pings for gaming on Sky can be acceptable? Acceptable pings for me are 30-60. I live about 400 metres from the exchange. I'll be getting the 10mb one, and I know that interleaving is on so pings may be higher than usual ISPs and connections, but will they be decent still? I play a football game a lot which relies on a good ping (20-40) and therefore cannot have a ping of a 100 as it would be impossible to play properly.
The second is, we recently ordered Sky and we checked about 10 times with Sky if the line was okay and we could definately get it. They said yes everytime even though on broadband checkers it was saying there was something on the line (a cease for March 1st 2007). I don't know why that is on the line, so maybe someone could explain that too? Sky didn't bother telling us that our order hadn't gone through until we rang up over a week later and they said that BT rejected the order because of that reason. We now have been told to wait 7 days before Sky's management team or whatever sort it out. Then we'll obviously have to wait for activation too. Is it easy to get tags (if thats the right word) removed off the line? Does it take BT long to do it once Sky ask them?
Thanks
