Thinking about swithing to sky, but I run my own servers. Does anyone know (and can confirm) if Sky block and inbound ports?

Thanks

Just be aware that Sky only provides dynamic IP addresses.

I have a server on Sky and email / web, which works fine, however when the router drops - the IP address will change.

Therefore your need to sign up with a company like DynDNS and use like I have their CustomDNS service. Sky routers are compatible with DynDNS.

Sky Broadband - Connect.

Indeed, this is how mine is setup at home.

Sign up to DynDNS for a random host.
Configure your Sky router to keep this updated (username admin, password sky)
Set your actual domain name www DNS record to be a CNAME to this random DynDNS host and hey presto, you can always access your home server via the web or SSH by simply connecting to the domain. Your DNS provider may not provide you with the ability to set CNAME records, but 123-reg do and any half -decent .com domain provider does also.

Works a treat!
