ADSL or ADSL MAX

I was with NewNet on a 1 Mbit conventional ADSL line. I then upgraded to ADSL MAX and this gave me 2 Mbit.

I want to now get broadband from Sky. However, only the Sky Connect is available which promises speeds up to 8Mbit. When I ordered the service over the phone, the guy entered my telephone number into a checker and told me that I can get speeds of up to 2Mbit.

Now, the question: is broadband from Sky conventional ADSL or ADSLMAX on the Connect package?

ADSLMAX, so you should see the same speeds as Newnet, however Sky do throttle P2P on Connect.
