Got My Router Today

[link to this post]

Hi I'm one of the Rats that have left the sinking ship once known as Pipex (now another Tiscali franchise). The Online Order Tracker claims my line will be live on the 10th, however, today I received one of the new Routers supplied by Sagem. Anyone have any experience using one of these? i.e any good, hackable, flashable etc...

Thanks for any advice...

Awaiting MAC from Pipex !! (it can't come quick enough)

So far so good, but still would like to use my Belkin as I know it works with my sons PS3 and DS ... Just hope the one supplied by Sky does too.

Nope, can't do anything with it.

It works fine with PS3\XBOX 360, etc. - just make a note of the settings you have in the Belkin currently, and then work out how to make 'em work in the Sagem.

Very stable by all accounts, but no way to use your old router.

You may not have liked your old ISP but no need to use such a crude expression misnaming them.

Just a tad sad..a wee bit old...

Well excuse me...

So to reiterate... ... ...

Update:

Thusfar I am very happy with SKY MAX, averaging in excess of 10000mbps
My previous ISP 'Tiscali Owned PIPEX' (perish the thought of calling them what they deserve) was terrible, it was a good day if my speed raised above 1000Mbps.

So would I recommend sky?
Well still too early to tell to be honest, but as I said so far so good.

Oah and the Sagem router hasn't missed a beat either.

SKY MAX ...

So far so good !!
